A friend recently sent me a leadership manual by Admiral McRaven titled "The Wisdom of the Bullfrog." From commanding high-stakes combat operations to handling ethical dilemmas and organizational transitions, McRaven offers profound insights through engaging anecdotes. This clear-eyed piece of writing explores the essential leadership traits that distinguish the good from the truly great, making it a must-read for anyone seeking to excel in their leadership roles.
What I've been listening to | Death Cab for Cutie
Somehow in my youth I missed Death Cab for Cutie... but thanks to a new episode of the Broken Record Podcast, I've found them. It's funny, though, in that a handful of their songs have been played in the background of significant moments in my life and I never knew it. If you aren't familiar,
Death Cab for Cutie is an indie rock band formed in 1997 in Bellingham, Washington. Their emotive and introspective lyrics, led by Ben Gibbard's distinctive vocals, have garnered a dedicated fan base. Hits like "I Will Follow You into the Dark" and "Transatlanticism" have contributed to their critical acclaim and success. Over the years, they have remained influential and respected in the indie rock music scene.
